Mon 5th Oct 2020 - Sanyo Denki ‘SANMOTION F2’ Stepper Motors with encoders for when open loop control is not enough
Stepper systems provide precise positioning with easy control.
Adding an encoder to a stepper motor provides closed loop feedback. The controller can now monitor the motor position improving safety and reliability.
Features:
- Hybrid steppers, 2 phase (1.8°and 0.9°/step)
- Holding torque: 0.195 Nm to 9 Nm
- Current/phase: 0.48 A to 6 A
- Unipolar, Bipolar connection
- Motor frame sizes 35, 42, 56, 60, 86
- Encoder types
Type R, 200 CPR. Compact, cost effective, simple interface.
Type S, 400 CPR. Medium resolution, pulse index option, simple interface.
Type M, 1000 & 1024 CPR High resolution, pulse index option, simple interface.
Type L, 400 CPR, Noise immunity, transmit encoder signal over long distance
Benefits:
- Adding an encoder is a simple solution for safety sensitive applications requiring position verification and position maintenance, such as medical instrumentation.
- Stall detection improves machine reliability.
- Close loop control with the benefits of a stepper motor.
- Encoders with index pulse option can be used to achieve precise homing.
