Wittenstein - Galaxie® Gearbox

The novel kinematics of the world-first Galaxie® gearbox enable the extremely high power density and torsional rigidity. The design consists of separate thrusted teeth instead of rigid gear wheels. This design allows for full-surface contact instead of traditional linear contact, which enables zero backlash, optimal synchronization accuracy and exceptional repeatability. A core part of our Galaxie® actuators, these gearboxes integrate easily into existing machine concepts. Standardized attached components enable easy connection to a standard industrial motor. Available in coaxial and hypoid input stage versions, with a variety of ratios for maximum flexibility.
